Daily affirmation doodles: April

Throughout the month of April, I set a goal for myself to set intentions using art and affirmations each day. This allowed me to have a mindful moment each morning to connect with myself and my environment before diving into a busy day.

I may not have gotten this accomplished every day, and some days I was more engaged with it than others. It’s important to remember that we are not perfect beings and some days we have more energy than others.

The days that I did complete my affirmation doodle, I felt more at peace and even energized for the day ahead. I was able to connect to my own needs for that day, as well as what I may be needing in my future goals.

When I started the month, I felt uncreative and disconnected from myself. By the end of the month, I felt empowered and confident.

This can be a wonderful tool if you’re experiencing feelings of anxiety or just not being grounded/connected to your life.

Tip: Look for a list of affirmations to pull from. I connected to artist Morgan Harper Nichols and used their post “Words to repeat to yourself in April” but you can use whatever list feels right to you!
